At the start of the journey enjoy the Sightseeing tour of Delhi covering the major hotspots like the Jama Masjid , Red Fort, Gandhi Memorial, India Gate, Parliament House. On reaching Glenburn Tea Estate, attend a presentation, giving a brief overview about the history of Glenburn and the process of growing and manufacturing tea. 

Choose Your Itinerary
Day 1

Delhi -
After arriving at the Delhi airport in late evening, meet our representative who'll escort you to one of our listed hotels. The rest of the day is to be spent at leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2

Delhi-
Morning starts with the city sightseeing tour to New and Old Delhi including major attractions like Jama Masjid, India Gate, Parliament House, Humayun Tomb, Red Fort, Gandhi memorial, and Qutab Minar. Night to spend at the hotel.

Day 3

Delhi - Bagdogara-
Post breakfast, transfer to the airport to board a flight to Bagdogara. Upon arrival at the Bagdogara airport, meet our representative who'll a smooth transfer for you to Glenburn Tea Estate. The journey to Glenburn Tea Estate follows the course of the Teesta River. As you reach the bridge that takes you across the river to Sikkim, being to climb towards Darjeeling and then drive down into the Glenburn valley. As you reach Glenburn Tea Estate, get accommodated in one of the two bungalows of your choice. Enjoy overnight stay, at the bungalow in Glenburn.

Day 4

Glenburn Tea Estate-
In the morning after breakfast, embark on a guided Tea tour. The tour starts with a presentation, giving a brief overview about the history of Glenburn and the process of growing and manufacturing tea. After the presentation move towards the tea fields with the estate manager who will enlighten you further on how tea bush is grown and looked after. During your walk through the tea field, learn the art of plucking the "two leaves and a bud". In the later part of the day, pay a visit to the Tea Nursery to learn about the different varieties of tea plants and the process of transplanting them when ready. Halt for lunch at the banks of river Rung Dung. After lunch drive up to the hill factory to watch through the processes of Withering, rolling, Fermenting, Drying and finally sorting. The day ends with a Tea Tasting Session. Overnight stay at the bungalow.

Day 5

Glenburn Tea Estate-
Next morning after breakfast, get accommodated in a jeep that awaits you to take you down through the Simbong forest to the river Rung Dung.

Take the small suspension bridge to cross the river and reach Badamtam forest. While walking through the forest enjoy the site of beautiful birds, butterflies, animals and the rich plant life found in the woods. After completing an hour long walk you reach Manjitar village. Visit the Royal Kingdom of Sikkim and the local Shiv temple. Enjoy picnic- style lunch served along the way. Witness a volleyball match that takes place between the local police force and the villagers at 4:30 pm every day, while sipping tea. Enjoy overnight stay at the bungalow.

Day 6

Glenburn Tea Estate-
Morning after breakfast, move out for a full day excursion of Darjeeling. Visit the Tiger Hill, famous for the panoramic views of Kangchenjunga and Mount Everest. Then enjoy joy ride on the famous Toy Train through the picturesque Batasia Loop and then to the neighboring towns of Ghoom and Kurseong. enjoy a hot cup of coffee while strolling on the Mall road. For lunch try a more typical local restaurant, for a traditional "momo and thugpa" meal. In the later part of the day you may visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute Zoo that consists of two museums the Everest Museum and the Mountaineering Museum. The zoo and the two museums are run by the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. In the evening visit the Ghoom Monastery and return back to Glenburn Tea Estate. Overnight stay at the bungalow.

Day 7

Glenburn Tea Estate-
Post breakfast, leave for the Lamha Haata Orchard. En-route visit, the Clooney Sisters' Church and School. Take a 10 minutes drive from the bungalow to start the trek leading to Lamha Haata Orchard. The trail is quite steep, climb up for another 10 minutes to the orchard and enjoys the spectacular view of the surrounding hillside. Have a cup of tea with our resident caretaker, before you start your descent to the main track where the jeep awaits you. Also pay a visit to Buddhist and Sai Baba centers within the Estate. In the evening return to the estate for overnight stay at the bungalow.

Day 8

Glenburn Tea Estate-
In the morning after breakfast, leave early for a full day excursion to the Glenburn Campsite. One may trek down the hill or drive the entire route stopping along the way for short walks at various points of interest. On your way, you would pass by the Bora Gaon Village and the Simbong Tea Division, past the Sim Jhora (stream and waterfall), and finally into the Simbong Forest area. Refreshments will be provided along the way, and a jeep would be close by if a guest feels tired and chooses to drive down the rest of the way. On reaching the Glenburn Campsite, on the banks of the River Rungit, guests have a choice of paddling in rock pools, fishing, bird watching, relaxing on the sandy shore and embarking upon short walks along the river. In the afternoon, start driving/trekking back to the bungalow. Overnight stay at the bungalow.

Day 9

In the morning after breakfast, leave early for a full day excursion to the Glenburn Campsite. One may trek down the hill or drive the entire route stopping along the way for short walks at various points of interest.
